Learning Objectives

    At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  1. Discuss the rationale and appropriate use of clinical guidelines in screening for prostate cancer
  2. Describe individualized patient risk factors for prostate cancer and how to incorporate this information into an overall assessment and counseling strategy with patients
  3. Recognize the differences, strengths, and limitations of current prostate cancer screening tests
  4. Demonstrate familiarity with current evidence assessing prostate cancer prevention strategies, including chemoprevention with pharmacologic agents
