Learning Objectives
- At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Discuss the rationale and appropriate use of clinical guidelines in screening for prostate cancer.
- Describe individualized patient risk factors for prostate cancer and how to incorporate this information into an overall assessment and counseling strategy with patients.
- Recognize the differences, strengths, and limitations of current prostate cancer screening tests.
- Demonstrate familiarity with current evidence assessing prostate cancer prevention strategies, including chemoprevention with pharmacologic agents.
